For the last TEN years, the world has been celebrating World Vegan Day, on November 1st. Every year the celebrations get bigger and more numerous as many more people discover how enjoyable it is to lead a lifestyle that benefits people, animals and the environment.
Let's make this year HUGE! Invite friends over for a vegan dinner, go out to a vegan restaurant, bring vegan snacks into your kids school...there are so many things we can do to bring veganism to people and let them see that they can do it too.
So what are you going to do?

Lunch at Everlasting Life in DC or Yabba Pot in Baltimore? Anyone up for it?
Gotta see who is on tap for our 7 pm meditation in Bowie…could make it a pot luckish prior??
I'm not going to be able to make it up to Baltimore on the 1st :-)
I have heard great things about Yabba Pot. I hope I'll get to go very soon.
Hello. I just found your blog randomly.
Thanks for posting this. I forgot about Vegan Day! I love to join you in trying out every vegan restaurant in NYC. I hope you post some reviews. :-)
Vegan day, oh I blew it, I got it all wrong….
I thought we were supposed to eat vegans today! Now I know that was in poor taste.
But it isn't true, they tasted good, with bar-b-que sauce…
In a strange mind this morning pardon me. Years ago we were opening a natural healing center, and we ordered trays of veggie bagels….we got veggie bagels, and turkey bagels I called them and said what is this…too which they responded…”I thought turkey was vegetarian!”
So the rest of the day, my line was we have vegetarian bagels, some are made for vegetarians, some are made out of vegetarians. It was then I realized how powerful that was….I always thought cadaver was a good word to call flesh on a plate for a carnivore….but they really don't like to think about eating vegetarians.
